‘Babo’ audition failure was a blessing in disguise for Sooyoung
On SBS TV’s “Strong Heart – Royal Family Special” aired on November 30th, Sooyoung talked about how her experience in an audition for a drama. After listening to CN Blue member, Kang Minhyuk’s story on how he lost a role in a drama to fellow member, Jung Yonghwa in an audition, Sooyoung said, “Before debut, I’ve attended a lot of acting auditions too”.
Sooyoung said, “The most unforgettable audition I had was for the movie ‘Babo (Miracle Of A Giving Fool)‘. I wanted a role in the movie so badly but in the end Park Hasun was given the role”.
In the movie, Park Hasun played a role as a younger sister to the male actor, Cha Taehyun. According to Sooyoung, she participated in the audition for this role.
Sooyoung added, “If I were to be casted for ‘Babo’, my debut with SNSD will be affected. After debuted with SNSD, I heard Park Hasun received a lot of attentions from that movie. I think everyone has their own time for everything. Therefore, Minhyuk will do well this time around”. For Sooyoung, the failure in the audition was a blessing in disguise.
Kang Minhyuk is currently being casted for SBS Monday-Tuesday drama “It’s Okay, Daddy’s Daughter”.

[NEWS] Lee Jongseok’s interview about Yoona & Hyoyeon
He became close to many trainees while he was training to become an idol. He has friends in pretty much every group. In particular he has a close friendship with SNSD’s Hyoyeon and Yoong.
“I met Hyo first through a close hyung(older friend) when SNSD just made their debut. I then got to know Yoong through Hyoyeon.” [ I omitted this part out-non SNSD related]
Q: What does Lee Jongseok do when meeting up with SNSD friends…?
“Like everybody else. We go to a cafe to drink coffee and chit chat. We also go to board game rooms. In Hyo’s case, she likes to walk, so I walk with her often wearing our caps really low.”
In Yoong’s case, she is more of a prankster then he thought. He has been frustrated before b/c she is quite different from the clean image that she appears on TV.
“When I would call Hyo, suddenly someone else would pick up the phone. Yoong would play a joke on me by imitating Teacher Jun Wonjoo. At first, I was duped and it was hard to accept, but nowadays, it’s ok.”
